    Maintenance Manager


    Landmark Senior Living Communities, an owner/operator of Assisted Living properties, is seeking a  Maintenance Manager  to oversee all aspects of maintenance at Landmark at Desert Gardens in Hobbs,NM. The position reports directly to the Executive Director. This position is Full-Time and is eligible for benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, in addition to 401k and PTO.


    Maintenance Manager Job Summary:


    The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all aspects of maintenance and housekeeping.  They must be able to interact with elderly people in a courteous manner and be organized in their work habits.  Maintenance staff is also responsible for the upkeep of the outside grounds, parking lots, lawns, and gardens.


    Maintenance Manager Job Key Duties: 

    • Performing preventative maintenance on all building equipment
    • Directing and executing preventative maintenance programs, general repairs and unit-turns
    • Directing the community maintenance and housekeeping staff to include hiring, training, and evaluating performance
    • Assuring compliance with Landmark standards and local/state/federal regulations, including fire and life safety
    • Conducting regular inspections, identifying needs and executing correction and/or coordinating with the Executive Director


    Maintenance Manager Qualifications: 

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Two years of relevant maintenance work experience, including supervisory experience, computer skills and working with teams
    • Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks
    • Proficiency in basic carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing
    • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public
    • Must have a compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
    • Ability to be on-call including weekends and holidays as required by emergency situations
    • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
    • Math/Accuracy skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume
    • Ability to use Equipment: Two wheelers, trolleys, carts, cartons, brooms, mops, shovels, cleaning supplies, dumpsite, and/or compactor; hand tools, power tools; exposure to toxic and/or caustic chemicals; work performed may be near moving mechanical parts
    • Physical Demands:
      • 66-100%: Standing, lifting up to 15 pounds
      • 31-65%: Pushing, pulling, walking, fine motor coordination, reaching, lifting up to 25 pounds
      • 10-30%: Stooping, sitting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting up to 50 pounds
