Overview

Landmark Senior Living Communities, an owner/operator of Assisted Living properties, is seeking a Part Time Resident Care Aide (RCA) Weekends, 7 to 3pm and 3pm-11pm in its 75-unit Memory and Traditional Care building in Boston, MA. The position reports directly to the Resident Care Director. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily care needs, including but not limited to showering, dressing, toileting, grooming, and feeding
  • Assist with medication reminders
  • Respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations
  • Provides escorts to residents as necessary
  • Assists in the dining room
  • Provides assistance with incontinence
  • Answers all emergency calls. May be required to respond to medical emergencies according to policy
  • Identifies hazards/emergency situations and initiate corrective action as necessary and/or seek assistance of Resident Care Director or supervisor
  • Assists in training of new employees
  • Identifies changes in resident ‘s condition and reports to supervisor immediately
  • Reports and documents incidents
  • Receives resident status report at the beginning of shift
  • Responsible for the safety of residents under his/her supervision
  • May be required to participate in behavioral interventions
  • Observes infection control procedures
  • Adheres to resident rights at all times
  • Reports to work as scheduled and demonstrates dependability and punctuality
  • Accepts assignments in a cooperative manner

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • CNA license required
  • Candidates must successfully pass criminal background check
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Strong recommendations from previous employers preferred
  • Candidates must be detail-oriented and capable of carrying out written instructions
  • Able to effectively communicate both in writing and orally
  • Able to demonstrate exhibit self control and frustration tolerance as shown by patience, proper language use, voice tone, use of rational and overall professional orientation
  • Willingness to accept assignments
